在中西文学史上,文学与道德关系的争论古已有之,至今这种争论仍未停止,争论焦点在于文学是否为道德服务,"为文艺而文艺"、"为道德而文艺"两种观点旗鼓相当。文章从历史的角度对文学与道德关系进行梳理与探讨。

In the history of both Chinese and Western literature,the argument about the relation of literature and morality has been a hot topic.The focus of the continuous argument is whether literature should serve for morality：art for art＇s sake,or art for the sake of morality.The relation of literature and morality is discussed from historical perspective.
