PURPOSE: To give some information for manu facture of new drugs and development of pharmaceutical industryin our country. METHODS: Analysis the current situation of pharmaceutical market structure and its development. RESULTSAND CONCLUSION: The pharmaceutical market structure will have some changes in the 21st century. These changes arecharacterized by rapid development of biotechnological drugs, great increase in the variety and numbers of natural drugs, acertain share of marine drugs, the increase of OTC market share, and the general acceptance of preventive and health careproducts, whose share in the whole medical market will increase steadily.
