由于生物关系到人类生存的生态环境状况,保护生物多样性成为自然保护最令人关注的目标。目前,国内对城市生物多样性保护研究主要在生态学和保护生物学领域。从管理的角度及城市规划专业视角出发,研究生物多样性保护管理体制、法律法规及城市生物多样性保护规划编制的范围、内容与深度等相关问题,对国家的生态环境建设和可持续发展以及全国创建"生态园林城市"具有现实的指导意义。

Conservation diversity has become the target of greatest concern,since the biology related to the ecological environment of human existence.At present,city biodiversity protection research is mainly in ecology and protection biology domain.It should has real significance to the country＇s ecological environment construction and sustainable development and ＇eco-garden city＇ creating to study the biological diversity protection and management system,laws and regulations as well as the scope,content and depth of urban biodiversity conservation program and other related issues from a management perspective and the view of urban planning.
