Data Warehouse technology is an important foundation of contemporary DSS, a number of problems with traditional DSS can be solved by introducing DW technology. This paper analyzes the structure of the DW and describes how to build it. A discussion on the feasibility of applying DW technology in a large intermodal enterprise is given at the end.
