The article is a survey report of faculty from 30 journalism and mass communication schools or departments in the United States.The explored issues include current teaching contents and methods,the relation between teaching and new technology development,and the future trend of journalism and mass communication education in US.The main conclusions are： new technologies bring new challenges to journalism and mass communication education while the core skill and values remain same,and its future trend is diverse.
