摘要
韩礼德(Halliday)的系统功能语法为语篇分析提供了一个理论框架,具有可操作性强、实用性强的特点,是一种比其它理论更适合于语篇分析的理论。将韩礼德系统功能语言学理论应用于大学英语教学中,可以使学生理解句法、词汇选择的深层原因,深刻领会作者的写作意图,根据语境在"意义潜势"中选择适合语境的语言。通过教学实例得出从篇章的体裁、主题和结构入手来分析全文能有效帮助学生理清文章脉络,把握文章中心,有助于提高学生分析篇章的综合能力。由此也表明功能语篇分析对语言教学尤其是大学英语教学很具指导意义。
Halliday's systematic-functional grammar provides a theoretical framewor with the discourse analysis.It proves to be more suitable to the discourse analysis than the other theories from its characteristics of strong operation and application.The application of Halliday's systematic-functional Grammar to college English teaching helps the students get the deep understanding of the choice of syntax and words as well as the author's writing purpose.Besides,the students learned to choose the exact words from the potential meanings according to the context.Combined with some teaching examples,the following conclusion is made:analysing a passage from genre,topic and structure can help the students clarify the whole text and easily understand the main idea and furthermore enhance the ability of analysing the text.Therefore,it indicated that the language teaching especially college English teaching can derive much instruction from the discourse analysis theory.
