摘要
通过对学生英语口语词块使用情况进行对比分析,指出不同水平组的英语学习者均大量使用词块,但高水平组学生在频率上略高于低水平组学生,并且在种类上呈现出明显的多样性。此外,词块的使用与口语水平有着显著的正相关性。文章根据分析结果提出了加强词块教学以促进二语学习者口语水平提高的若干建议。
By comparing the use of lexical chunks employed in the spoken English of low-level and high-level groups of EFL learners, the results indicate that both of the two groups use lots of lexical chunks, but the frequency of lexical chunks is higher and the diversity is greater in high-level group than that in low-level group. Furthermore, the use of lexical chunks is signifi-cantly related to the level of spoken English. Based on the findings, suggestions are proposed to strengthen the teaching of lexical chunks to improve Chinese college learners' spoken English level.
