国家理念是一个国家所坚持的哲学学说,它是国家所秉持的总体性观念,是历史性与发展性的统一,普遍性与特殊性的统一。一国的国家形象最终取决于该国所秉持的国家理念及其在此国家理念下进行的国家建设的实践。一方面,国家理念的不同决定了国家形象传播的具体内容、国家形象传播的主体选择、国家形象传播的具体策略的不同;另一方面,国家形象传播的效果会对国家理念能起到完善和矫正的作用。国家理念是区别不同政治文明的重要标志。

State idea is the philosophical conceptions and principles that a country adheres to;it is the overal conception and the combination of historicity and expansibility,and the combination of universality and particularity.It has both a fundamental status and a guiding role in the communication and construction of state image.For one thing,the differences in the state concept determine that there will be differences in many aspects of the communication of national image,including the contents,the selection of subject and the strategies.For another,reversely,the effect of state image communication plays a part in perfecting and amending the state idea.State idea is an important criterion of distinguishing different political civilizations.
