摘要
中国近代文学史上的苏曼殊,集革命者、诗人、画家、佛学家、翻译家于一身,在他10余年的翻译生涯中,对雨果、拜伦的作品及一些反映帝国主义侵略的严肃小说情有独钟,并采用了"归化"的翻译策略,对原文进行添加、删减或者完全改写,这些正是译者在其意识形态操控下的结果。本文尝试分析他对拟译文本的选材和翻译策略的选择,以及由此所体现出的翻译的政治性。
Su Manshu is a revolutionary,poet,painter,translator,scholar in Buddhist philosophy in the contemporary literature history.During his ten years of translation career,he shows his special preference to some serious novels mirroring imperialistic invasion,besides Hugo's and Byron's writings.He adopts the translation strategy of domestication,addition,deletion and creation,all of which result from the manipulation of his ideology.This paper attempts to analyze the choice of a source text and the special translation strategy,to manifest the politics in his translation.
