On the basis of primary factors influencing puncture of mediums,this paper emphatically points out the capacity performance index of voltage-resisting and puncture tester.When its capacity is defined,it would consider the equivalent capacitance of test sample between electrodes,and would estimate the highest puncture current value of test sample producing in the puncturing course.It is very important to choose retionally the capacity of voltage-resisting and puncture test for some insulating material and components.
