摘要 During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the city of Beijing banned smoking in many public areas such as taxis. But to appease the concerns of bar, restaurant and Internet cafe owners who feared that an outright ban would have a negative impact on business, the rules for those establishments were relaxed somewhat so that patrons could continue to light up, so long as the venues offered separate smoking and non-smoking areas.
