People always feel there's something mysterious about astronomy. Qingdao has a time-honored history of astronomy. 'Observing the Astronomical Phenomena at the Observatory', one of the eight famous scenic spots in Qingdao, is located on the top of Guanxiang Mountain. The observatory was established in 1898 by the Germans. This is the oldest observatory of China and occupies an important position in the development history of the astronomical phenomena and maritime science of modern China. Qingdao Observatory, Shanghai Xujiahui Observatory, and Hong Kong Observatory are called the 'three observatories of the Far East'. When the moon is full, the observatory becomes the best place for the citizens to enjoy the moon. The mid-autumn festival is also the best day to see the moon. The citizens can use the astronomical telescope with the most comprehensive functions to get into close contact with the moon and enjoy the beautiful sceneries of 'heaven'.
