在加拿大卑诗大学(University of British Columbia)的欧莱利(Patricia A.O'Riley)教授看来,当前的技术教育和教育技术中普遍存在着乌托邦的、欧洲中心论的技术话语。通过将自己的多样化声音文本与女性主义、后结构主义、原住民的声音、实践、定位和世界观交织在一起,欧莱利教授对当前这场匆匆奔向"联结与分享"的技术梦想进行了独特的分析/综合。
The current technology education and educational technology discourses are ubiquitously utopian,Eurocentric,and technocratic according to Dr.Pat O'Riley,University of British Columbia.She has undertaken a significant and unique analysis/synthesis of these discourses through weaving a polyvocal text that engages feminist,poststructural,and Indigenous voices,embodiments,locations and worldviews.The reader is asked to critically consider the current focus on digital technologies and virtual learning,and what shapes and text(ure)s technology discourses in education might become when intersected with social justice,environmental and Indigenous voices and agencies,and non-digital,place-based technologies.
