摘要
《星轺指掌》是近代中国第一部系统介绍西方外交关系法的著作。该书重点阐述了公使及其职责与权利,对领事与领事裁判权也有较为详细的论述。与此同时,一批近代西方外交术语得以译定。它们对于近代中国的外交、思想文化都产生了一定的影响。
Guided by Stars is the first book which intrduced west diplomatic law in modern China.It expounded the right and obligation of ambassador emphalically,and consular and consular jurisdiction were also discussed.Meanwhile much diplomatic terminology were translated into modern China,which affected the diplomatic and culture of China.
