新中国成立初期,中共云南省委、省人民政府遵循中共中央关于少数民族地区的改革与发展必须"慎重稳进"的指导方针,坚持从云南实际出发,实事求是地走出了一条依靠分类指导、慎重稳进进行民主改革的新路子,使处于不同社会发展阶段的少数民族社会实现了向社会主义社会的过渡,顺利地进入了社会主义。党的区别对待、分类指导政策在云南民主改革的创造性运用中也得到了创新与发展,并为我们留下了值得记取的宝贵经验与历史启示。

In the early days of the People＇s Republic of China,the CPC Committee of Yunnan Province and the People＇s Government of Yunnan Province abided by the CPC＇s guiding principle of ＂steady progress＂ in the reform and development of the minority areas and adopted a classified guidance policy based on the actual situation of Yunnan.This policy for democratic reform helped the minority groups in different minority areas of Yunnan successfully realized the transition from different social stages to the early stage of socialism,This policy with a distinction between different ethnic groups is a creative application of the Party＇s policy and principle and can shed much light on our future work.
