哈尼族服饰的总体特征是以黑色为基调,无论男女老少均以黑色或青蓝色为主,他们认为黑色是融于大山森林的色彩基调,是哈尼族生命的保护色。哈尼族的每一个支系就有一种衣着类型,但黑色与银饰形成统一的审美观,其审美图案主要是表示日月星晨、山川河流、自然花鸟和水族动物的影子,充分体现了哈尼族融于自然及其以自然为主体的审美意识,蕴含着深刻的服饰生态文化。

The Hai people have black color as their main color for their clothes and ornaments because they regard black as the keynote of mountains and as their life protector.Each branch of the Hani nationality has their features but black color and silver ornaments reveal their aesthetic criteria.They prefer such patterns as the sun,the moon,the stars,mountains,rivers,flowers,birds,and aquatic animals,which are closely related to nature and reveal their aesthetic criteria and eco-culture.
