摘要
原型范畴理论是认知语言学的核心理论之一。其主要术语包括范畴、范畴化、基本范畴、上位范畴、下位范畴、原型和家族相似性。这一理论对目前英语词汇教学有重要启示。教师要重视基本范畴词汇的教学,引导学生掌握词语多义间的深层联系和隐喻意义,从而激发学生的学习兴趣,提高教学质量。
Abstract: Prototype theory, one of the core thcories of cognitive linguistics, is built on the criticizing classical category theory. Its main terms include category, categorization, basic superior category, subordinate category, prototype and family resemblance. The theory basis of category, has the enlightening function to the current English vocabulary teaching and learning. It is imperative to emphasize the basic category of words, the inner connection of polysemous words, and the recognition of metaphors so as to motivate students" interest in learning and improve the quality of education.
