在20世纪30年代极其困难的条件下,临危受命的北大校长蒋梦麟大力实施以校长治校、教授治学、学生求学、职员治事为核心的改革举措,积极改革与整顿北大,使一度衰败的北大重现生机与活力,其教育思想与实践至今仍具借鉴意义。

During the 1930s, Jiang Menglin, president of Peking University, made significant efforts to implement the reform policy of ＂president ruling university, professors pursuing the studies, students learning, staff doing things＂, in order to positively reform and rectify Peking University.
