Although productivity enjoys an unprecedented development in late capitalism,it was increasingly mediated by production relations.Classes still exist,but the class consciousness of revolutionary proletariats has disappeared and the real individuality is disappearing.Identity and exchange principle jointly have reinforced the capitalist system and the control of politics on economy has been constantly enhanced.But not all western countries have experienced the totalitarian domination.The state capitalism just suggests some trends in the western countries.Understanding Adorno’s late capitalist society outlook will enlighten us on how China will go along with modernization.
