论语法隐喻与英语语法的模糊性

韩礼德的语法隐喻理论的贡献不仅在于突破了传统修辞学的隐喻研究框架,还在于它与雷考夫等人的词汇隐喻互为补充,揭示人类语言通过思维机制认识乃至构建真理的努力。语法的模糊性是人类范畴化的结果,用范畴理论解构语法隐喻无疑对揭示人类语言的进化规律具有积极意义。而从语法隐喻的视角解释语法的模糊性具有重要的语言哲学及语言学意义。

Halliday＇s grammatical metaphor not only contributes to the unconventional approach to metaphor studies, but also as a complement to the lexical metaphor studies by Lakoff et al., explores how human language functions in perceiving the world and constructing the truth. Grammatical fuzziness results from linguistic categorization. The interpretation of grammatical metaphor in terms of categorization theory will help disclose the evolution process of human language. And the interpretation of grammatical fuzziness based on grammatical metaphor proves of great significance in philosophy of language as well as linguistics.
