摘要
转喻不仅是一种修辞手段,而且是人类认知的重要思维方式之一。本文基于转喻的认知本质,以《现代大学英语精读》为语言素材,利用概念转喻来分析和理解文章中的词汇、语篇和文化,旨在帮助学生准确、深入地理解和把握文章的含义和作者的写作意图,激发学生阅读兴趣,提高英语阅读理解能力。
Metonymy is not only a figure of speech,but also an important thinking pattern of human beings.Based on the cognitive nature of metonymy,this paper makes use of conceptual metonymy to comprehend the vocabulary,passages and cultures in Contemporary College English.The understanding of conceptual metonymy can help students grasp the reading material exactly and deeply.Thus students will take an interest in reading and improve their abilities of reading comprehension.
