鲍氏志贺氏菌的一个新血清型

A NEW SEROTYPE OF SHIGELLA BOYDII

本文报告在1986年从二例急性菌痢患者的脓血便中分离的二株同一血清型的志贺氏菌。用目前所有志贺氏菌型别的诊断血清鉴定这二株菌以及用志贺氏菌各血清型的代表株检查该二株菌制备的抗血清,其结果一致。仅与痢疾志贺氏菌8型和鲍氏4型有低效价的凝集,与大肠杆菌 O_6、O_7和 O_(150)也无交叉,因此是一个新的志贺氏菌血清型。此二株菌能引起豚鼠角膜炎,侵入上皮细胞,琼脂糖电泳显示大质粒存在,是有侵袭力的毒株。鉴于该型菌株发酵甘露醇,而与福氏志贺氏菌无抗原关系,因此为鲍氏志贺氏菌。由于现在已有鲍氏1—18型,建议该新血清型为鲍氏志贺氏菌19型(Shigella boydii serotype 19)。

Two strains which belong to the sameserotype of Shigella were isolated from thebloody-pus stool of two patients(in 1986)and is reported in this paper.The resultswere identical both showing agglutination inlow titer with serotype 8 of S.dysenteriae andserotype 4 of S.boydii when the two strainswere checked well with all kinds of diagnosticantisera and vice versa,ie the antisera produc-ed by the two strains were also checked wellwith sera prepared with the representive strainsof all Shigella spp.No cross agglutinationwith O_6,O_7 and O^(150) of E.coil were found.Consequently,It appears to be a new serotypeof Shigella.These two strains possess theability of causing keratitis in guinea-pigs aswell as invading epithelial cells,the DNAof both strains in agarose-electrophoresis show-ed a large plasmid,indicating that they arevirulent strains possessing invasive ability.It was concluded that these two strainsbelonged to Shigella boydii as they fermentedmannitol and non-related antigenically withShigella flexneri.Since serotype 1—18 ofS.boydii have been reported recently,wepropose that this new serotype should be sero-type 19 of Shigella boydii.
