文章探讨了把句法理论应用于分析屈折和派生构词过程,设想把屈折词缀和派生词缀看成是一种"中心语",具有自己的类别特征,构词过程遵循一定的句法原则,从而最终把句法和构词统一起来。

This article attempts to explore the application of syntactic principles and rules to the analysis of two word formation processes——inflection and derivation.It is assumed in this article that both inflectional suffixes and derivational suffixes could be regarded as a kind of ＂head＂,characterized with their own categorical features,and that inflectional and derivational words are formed by observing syntactic principles and rules.On the basis of such analysis,this article proposes that word formation could be united with syntax.This article aims at put forward this proposal,thus paving the way for future studies.
