Surrealism is the literature and art school which is popular between the two world wars. And the source and inspiration of its art works are mainly come from the presentation and symbolization of the subconscious. Freud＇s psychoanalytic theory is the important theoretical basis for the birth of Surrealism. This paper will analysis the Surrealism from the visual angle and explores how Dali explains his dreams according to the unique subconscious symbol in his art works.
