Objective To study the regularlity and meaning of neovascularization in the replanted limbs of rats. Methods 48 adult SD rats were randamly divided into 4-day,1?,2?,3?,4?,5?,6?,and 8?week groups, according to the periods of time of the interruption of the femoral artery. The naked eye, angiography and histological examination were observed. Results A progresive improvement of neovascularization was observed in the replanted limbs of the rats at 2?,3?,4?,5?,6?,and 8?week groups as the time delay, which were growing stronger and thicker and stretching distally and no neovascularization at 4-day and 1 week group. Conclusions The replanted limbs could survive dependent on neovascularization above two weeks even though their femoral arteria were interrupted.
