摘要
This year sees the 100th anniversary of the founding of the International Association of Chemical Societies (IACS), the predecessor to today's International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). It also coincides with the 100th anniversary of a Nobel Prize being awarded to Marie Curie. To celebrate the achievements of chemical science and its contributions to human wellbeing, on December 30, 2008, the 63rd General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a resolution proclaiming 2011 the International Year of Chemistry, with the theme, Chemistry: Our Life, Our Future.
