摘要
本文从教育功能入手，论证了高校政工干部的历史使命及思想政治工作在高等教育事业中的重要地位．提出思想政治工作是社会主义物质文明和精神文明建设和发展的重要保证．同时也提出新时期高校政工干部素质教育是一项重大课题．
This paper explains the historic mission of political workers of colleges and the importance of political and ideological work in the higher education,holds that political and ideological work is the guarantee of the construction and development of social material civilization and spiritual civilization,and regards the quality education of political workers as a major subject.
