English vocabulary teaching is a crucial part of English teaching.Currently,various errors have existed in English vocabulary teaching,which has posed an obstacle to learning English well for students as well as teaching English well for teachers.Based on the context theory,this paper explores functions and inspirations of context in English vocabulary teaching.
