In l998, worldwide giant petroleum and petrochemical enterprises composed super-large multinational companies through strong-strong combination. After analyzing the characteristics of these mergers and combinations, it could be concluded that the enterprises would get a foothold in future market only under the condition of having appropriate competitiveness.
