摘要
图书馆简化编目是必要的,但在选取具体的简化方式、方法上需要慎重,应注意以下几个方面:简化编目不能只以读者的使用为评判标准;简化编目不应以牺牲书目数据的质量为代价;不能以期刊编目情况作为简化图书编目的理由;构键编目系统时不能随意篡改字段的功能;简化编目必须是在CNMARC格式允许的范围内进行。
Simplifying cataloging in libraries is necessary,but we should pay attention to following aspects when we use it.Firstly,the criteria of simplifying cataloging shouldn＇t only depend on the readers＇ use;simplifying cataloging shouldn＇t reduce the quality of bibliographic data;the situation of journals cataloging couldn＇t be the reason of simplifying cataloging of books;it couldn＇t alter the function of fields arbitrarily during building cataloging system;simplifying catalog should be used in extent of CNMARC.
