当代中国党际协商民主的发展历程可分为三个阶段:1949-1957年巩固与发展阶段,1957-1976年曲折与中止阶段,1976年以来的恢复与完善阶段。其基本经验是:坚持中国共产党的领导,重视人民政协工作,加强党际协商民主制度建设。

The development of the inter-party consultative democracy in contemporary China falls into three periods: the early period of consolidation and growth(1949-1957),the period of turns and twists and even stagnation(1957-1976),and the period of restoration and improvement(1976-present).The experience gained is the adherence to the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party,stress on the role of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC) and strong support for the inter-party consultative democracy.
