Early diagnosis of lung cancer is very important.As a means of early detection of lung cancer,sputum cytological test has been applied for many years.However,because of the characteristics of sputum,high-quality diagnosis is hard to achieve.The development of sputum cytology test,various cytological detection methods and problems,as well as new methods and new techniques are discussed and summarized in this paper.
