The paper inquires into the current significance of designing expert system with the object - oriented method, and penetrates it to develop the object - oriented expert system for die - casting mould design.The paper discusses the design of the construct, object - controllor,knowledge base of realm, and the integratation of knowledge base and database in the expert system.
