Analysis of the Training Characteristics of the Professional Science Master's in America

理学专业硕士是美国研究生教育的创新,本文归纳分析了美国理学专业硕士"科学—附加"集成的课程体系、"校内—校外"结合的教学组织、"课程—项目"双重的毕业要求。

The Professional Science Master＇s （PSM）is an innovative graduate degree of American graduate education. This paper summarizes and analyzes the composite ＂Science Plus＂ curricula system, the combined ＂on campus-off campus＂ teaching organization and the dual ＂curricula-program＂ educational requirements of PSM in America. In view of promoting the development of the professional graduate education in China, this paper points out that we should focus on expanding the scope of the professional graduate education, pay more attention to build independent course system with professional graduate education traits, and effectively advance the cooperation of the government, industries, research institutes and universities.
