Clinical Significances of C-reactive Protein and Hypersensitive C-reactive Protein

C反应蛋白(Creactive protein,CRP)是一种急性时相反应蛋白,它参与体内多种生理及病理过程,同时发挥抗炎及促炎双重作用。CRP对于感染及多种结缔组织病的鉴别、判断疾病严重程度或活动性等有重要意义。因测定敏感度的提高,超敏C反应蛋白(hypersensitive-CRP,hs-CRP)对于心脑血管疾病等多种疾病的诊治具有指导意义,尤其是可以作为健康人心血管疾病的有效预测因子。

C-reactive protein（CRP） is an acute-phase protein known as a biomarker for inflammation.It is involved in many physiological and pathological processes with both anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory properties.Since its discovery,CRP has been studied as a screening device for infection,and as a clinical parameter of disease activity,severity of a variety of connective tissue diseases.With the development of high sensitivity assays,hypersensitive C-reactive protein（hs-CRP） has re-surfaced as a strong predictor in cardiovascular diseases.
