A nation of ethnic and tribal diversity,Afghanistan has been troubled by ethnic and tribal conflicts for centuries and these conflicts are complicating the drug control operations undertaken by the government.The interaction between ethnic and tribal differences on the one hand and the difficulty in dealing with drug production and trafficking on the other is the major concern for international communities as well as for Afghan government.
