Strategies for the Promotion of Higher Education in China's Ethnic Minority Areas

要促进少数民族地区高等教育公平发展,应在教育改革与发展过程中,更加重视教育公平的价值,将教育公平问题作为教育改革发展的重要目标;强化政府作为,追求高等教育最大限度的公平;促进教育资源配置的合理化、均衡化,建立转移支付制度、优惠政策和相应机制;开展民族教育的对口支援与协作;推进民族地区高考改革;创造民族地区女子接受高等教育的良好环境。

To promote higher education for ethnic minority groups,equal opporunity is the key and the formost objective.The government ought to take effective measures to maximize opportunities,educational resources and financial advantages for these backward regions.Policies should be biased towards them in terms of aid,cooperation, college entrance examination and facilities particularly for girls.
