摘要
随着表面施胶技术的不断发展,SMA类表面施胶剂凭借其优越的性能在现代造纸工业中的地位越来越重要。与传统表面施胶剂相比,它们具有成膜性好、打印质量佳等优点,特别适用于非涂布喷墨打印纸。本实验以美国Hercules和Sartomer公司不同型号SMA表面施胶剂为研究对象,对比研究SMA类施胶剂对纸张物理性能和喷墨打印性能的影响,以得出最佳的SMA表面施胶剂。结果表明,H520在改善纸张物理性能和喷墨打印性能方面要优于其他几种施胶剂,其成膜性好,可降低纸张透气度,提高平滑度和Cobb值,对纸张白度和不透明度影响较小;同时可提高打印色密度,扩大暗调阶调范围;灰度梯级为90%时,密度提高约0.2,墨点清晰度提高5.4%。
Compared with conventional surface sizing agents, polymers surface size agents can produce good film and printing quality, especially for uncoated inkjet paper. In this work, different types of SMA (Styrene Maleic Anhydride) from the United States Hercules and Sartomer companies were investigated. Each of SMA sizing agents was studied respectively for choosing the optimized SMA depending on the improvement of physical and inkjet printing properties. The results show that H520 is better than other SMA surface sizing agents on the improvement of physical properties and inkjet printing performance of paper. H520 has good film property which can reduce the paper permeability, improve smoothness and Cobb value and has less loss whiteness and opacity. It can also enhance the color density, expand the scope of the dark tone and improve dot resolution of the prints.
