摘要
威廉·冯·洪堡是德国著名的高等教育思想家和改革家。通过对其生活的时代背景和社会背景的分析,详细考察洪堡十九世纪初提出的大学理念的基本内涵:大学具有发展科学和培养人才双重职能,大学教育应当把教学与科学研究统一起来;大学教育的目标在于培养"完人",即具有完美无缺的人性,个性和谐、全面发展的人;大学教育必须独立于国家政治之外,力主大学的相对独立与学术自由。
On the basis of analyzing Wilhelm von Humboldt＇s life background and time background,this article expatiate the connotation of Humboldt＇s ideas of university.Humboldt points out that university have double functions： teaching and scientific study.Teaching and scientific study must be coordinated and balanced of development in higher education.The goal of higher education is to cultivate harmonious and impeccable personality.He asserts that education must independent of the State.University possesses relative independence and academic freedom.
