A Knowledge-based Image Content Annotation and Retrieval System

给出了一种使用一阶谓词逻辑（Prolog语言）为图象内容建模，并结合知识库，实现高效图象检索的方案。基于知识的图象信息表示与检索系统（KIRS）将图象的人工注释、机器自动提取的图象低层信息以及知识库中的知识统一于一致的概念，以知识推理的方式进行检索。

This paper proposes a sIIategy that modcls the image content with First order Predicate Logic (Prolog language) and exploits aknowledge-base to acqube sophishcated image retrieval capability. KIRS (Knowledge-based Image Retrieval System) unifies manmadeannotation of an image, machine-extracted low-level features of the image and the knowledge in the knowledge-base with a consistentconcepL enabling a knowledge deduction at retrieval time.
