The strip mining is a feasible and effective method that enables coal extraction under buildings.Based on analyzing the principle,advantages,design rules and procedure of the strip mining,then an emphasize conciliation that the technology of strip mining is a green safe way for coal extraction is given after introducing its application in China.At last,according to our practical circumstances,some suggestions are proposed.
