外商直接投资与经济增长——基于我国中部地区的实证分析

Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Growth——An Empirical Study Based on Central China

运用我国中部地区1995～2008年的省际面板数据,实证分析了外商直接投资对经济增长的影响。研究结果显示:外商直接投资是推动中部地区经济增长的有利因素,但这种推动效应较小,中部地区的经济增长依然表现为依靠投资拉动。因此,为了发挥外商直接投资的经济增长效应,应优化引资政策、加强产业配套设施建设和提高本地企业的技术水平等。

Using provincial panel data for central China during 1995 -2008, this paper empirically investigates into the impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth. The study shows foreign direct investment can pro- mote regional economic growth, however ,the effect is quite small , economic growth of central China still be driven by investment. Therefore, we can get economic growth effects of foreign direct investment by use of optimization of foreign capital policy, strengthening the industrial facilities construction and the technological level of local enterprises.
