摘要《喜福会》是当代美籍华裔女作家谭恩美的第一部小说。谭恩美站在美国文化主流的位置上,从东方主义的视角出发,用"他者"的眼光看待中国文化。作者在《喜福会》中罗列的大量中国传统文化元素,通过传统儒家伦理道德观念、宗教信仰、饮食文化等,向西方读者充分展现了"他者"化的中国形象,"他者"化的儒家思想,"他者"化的宗教信仰,"他者"化的饮食文化。 Amy Tan＇s first novel The Joy Luck Club is an international best-seller.From the perspective of Orientalism,the author,who＇s in the mainstream of American culture,looks at Chinese culture as the other.There is a large number of traditional Chinese culture elements listed in The Joy Luck Club.The author fully shows the image of China as the other to Western readers through traditional concepts of Confucian ethics,religion and food culture and so on.
