论我国基础教育英语教学的中庸之道 被引量:3

The Doctrine of the Mean in EFL Teaching in China

摘要 中庸是儒家思想的核心范畴,中庸之道已经成为中华民族传统文化的主要思维方式。笔者认为它也可以成为我国基础英语教学与改革的哲学基础。它对于中国基础教育英语教学理论研究与实践的启示,主要内容包括:(1)创立中庸和谐的学术环境;(2)对国外理论和中国教育传统采取正确的态度;(3)正确处理英语教学中一些基本矛盾,力求实现矛盾的对立统一。 As the core concept of Confucianism, the Mean is the maior way of thought of traditional Chinese culture and can be used as the philosophical basis of EFL teaching in China. In this paper, an attempt is made to discuss the enlightenments from the thought of the Mean on the studies of theory and practice of English language teaching, based on its special situation and context. The discussion mainly covers: (1) the construction of a harmonious academic environment; (2) the adaptation of right attitudes towards foreign theories and China's English teaching tradition formulated in the past one hundred years; (3) the management of the various relationships in English language teaching, including those between language knowledge and skills and between teachers and students, to achieve the unity of opposites.
