The "na" of "na yong" came from the Hmong expression "na" meaning "rice";"yong" is the ancient Yue expression meaning "river".While investigating the ancient river name as a new point of view, this researcher created a map which shows the spread of rice culture in southwestern China and the Indo-Chinese peninsula. The map consists of a lot of the ancient rivers which were named in Hmong expressions and ancient Yue expressions,so this researcher believe that the map has precious value in researching the merger of plural groups and the spread of rice culture in the regions mentioned above, from 2,000 to 3,000 years ago.
