Amplified fragment length polymorphism（AFLP） is polymerase chain reaction（PCR）-based marker with high-resolution for the rapid screening of genetic diversity.It is a new DNA fingerprint technology.Compared with other markers,it has relatively inexpensive,simple,fast,and reliable advantages.This paper describes the principle,key technology,and its Investigative Progress of botanical aspects in AFLP.
