摘要
太虚是近代佛教史上最有影响的大师,他一生以佛学院和佛教图书馆为媒介来推动佛教复兴和改革运动。太虚受近代公共图书馆理念的启发,很早就倡导建立佛教图书馆,并创建了著名的世界佛学苑图书馆,有力地推动了中国佛教图书馆从古代藏经楼向近代图书馆的转型。太虚创办的世界佛学苑图书馆,成为中国图书馆近代化的有机组成部分,对我国图书馆事业影响深远。
Tai-xu was a great master in modern histroy of Buddhism.In all his life,he pushed forward modernization of Buddhism with Buddhism library.Tai-xu advocated establishing Buddhism library due to influence of concept of modern public library and established famous The World Buddhism Library that promoted trasformaton of Chinese Buddhism library from ancient to modern,so The World Buddhism Library founded by Tai-xu contributed to librarianship in China.
