从语义场角度看科技论文摘要英译

From Perspect of Semantic Field to Analyse Translation of Scientific Papers

科技期刊的英文摘要对读者和编辑来说意义都很重大。本文以语义场理论为框架对一篇农科博士论文摘要的6篇专业英译文进行了研究,结果显示6篇译文和原文在字数、表达等方面存在显著差异。表明翻译专业学生有很强的英语语义意识。

English abstracts of Journal article papers are essential to both readers and editors.Using the semantic field theory,this study investigated six English abstracts of a dissertation in agriculture by M.A.students of English major.Results indicated there is a significant difference in word number and expressions between the source text and the translated text.This suggests that students of translation orientation have such acute senses of the semantic relations of English.
