To strengthen the learning atmosphere is a main element of college teaching task,which is relevant to the cultivation of high quality talents.The University of Nottingham-Ningbo makes many efforts to cultivate an excellent learning atmosphere in the areas of directing students to erect a correct learning concept,advocating cross-discipline education,and carrying on the reform of teaching methods and academic performance appraisal mechanism.Its ＂student-centered＂ teaching concept and the innovative teaching forms which focus on improving student＇s self-learning ability and critical thinking ability are the foundation of the excellent college learning atmosphere.The main purpose of this essay is to acquire some enlightenment on cultivating the excellent college learning atmosphere for domestic universities based on the study of the learning atmosphere construction model of University of Nottingham-Ningbo.
