The theory of ecocriticism has developed for a long time and achieved preliminary success,but on its construction aspects,it needs to be developed and advanced.From an ecological perspective,this article analyzes the poems in Whitman＇s Leaves of Grass.It suggests a new way for readers to concern more about human＇s survival environment,human＇s leading position,and the harmony between the nature and the society.It aims at making much more sense to the practical value for the environmental protection.
